I didn't make a horribly offensive joke about ghettos! Be proud of me!
I can make it for you!
Well, actually, it is kind of like a Reverse Ghetto, isn't it? Instead of underprivelaged minorities, you have straight, white, over-entitled white people.
I was just going to say it was thoughtful of them to self-ghettoize, so we'd know where to find them when the Purges started.
Look, there, you made me crack a tasteless and almost certainly offensive joke.
Well, it's offensive to the right kind of people ;).
Personally I think the humane thing to do is let them colonize Somalia and have them see their "principles" in action.
And guess what those neighborhoods will be like in 20 years?
75%+ rental property, multi-families, etc. That's the beauty of it.
'course, even then they'd probably still wax poetic about the benevolence of the Free Market.
I just love the attention to copy editing that site had...
Personally I think it added a je ne sais quoi quality :).
Too bad they're not running away to a secret enclave under the sea.
Malcolm MacDowell plays a Neo-Feudalist in Doomsday, FYI.
HAHA! Does he wave around a copy of "Atlas Shrugged"?
No... but he looks grizzled and Paul like and arranges for a man/woman gladiatorial combat. He gets escaped by our heroes driving off in an armored Bentley that leads to a Road Warrior/Thunderdome style chase. Then 'British Karl Rove' shows up.
Gated communities, hmm? Let's see... multiple buildings surrounded by a barrier or wall. Why, that's the dictionary definition of a compound. And as Michelle Malkin told us (so it must be true, and if you don't believe every word she says you're a liberal racist -- she said so, and if you don't believe every word she says you're a- well, you get the idea) compound means CRAZY!
I just love it when you can use the paranoid rantings of one whacked-out right wing hatemonger to castigate another group of whacked-out paranoid right-wingers. Saves us so much effort.
I'm still hoping that there will be a violent civil war between the factions of the Right, particularly between the Libertarians and the Theocrats.
Of course, that scenario does call to mind the tag line to "Alien vs. Predator": "No matter who wins, we lose." | |
